At Choir / Education Week

This assignment introduces the subject of layers in Photoshop as well as focusing on the activities that occur within the school setting. This assignment is about recording students actively engaged in an activity that reflects what school life is all about. You, the photographer, are the observer documenting a dynamic subject. It can be of friends or it can be a more candid observation. Secondly, this assignment uses the idea of a vingette that creates a boundary around the composition. This boundary helps to focus the viewer attention to the subject. The vingette is created in Photoshop on a seperate layer and is feathered into the backgroung layer. This image is then flattened and saved for further use. Remember to use the 'save as' command to ensure that your original image is not altered or destroyed.
