This assignment introduces the subject of layers in Photoshop as well as focusing on the activities that occur within the school setting. This assignment is about recording students actively engaged in an activity that reflects what school life is all about. You, the photographer, are the observer documenting a dynamic subject. It can be of friends or it can be a more candid observation. Secondly, this assignment uses the idea of a vingette that creates a boundary around the composition. This boundary helps to focus the viewer attention to the subject. The vingette is created in Photoshop on a seperate layer and is feathered into the backgroung layer. This image is then flattened and saved for further use. Remember to use the 'save as' command to ensure that your original image is not altered or destroyed.

Veritas Aequitas
Truth Is Justice
-
-
For thee we're who you see .
-
Selfish soul ,
Damned from the dark hole ;
Your life is how you've shown ,
-
For shepherds we shall be ,
For the damned , for all to see .
-
Shall all sin be forth onto thee ,
For sin shall not be condoned .
Hath justice be forth onto thy ,
&
Shall a river run forth to thee ,
Thus amends be giveth to those who plea .

SEPTEMBER LIGHT
The purpose of this photographic assignment is to become sensitive to the light conditions that are distinct for each season. Fall light maintains the atmospheric humidity of summer while becoming dramatic as the evening shadows become longer and the colours warmer. This change is temporary and a distinct characteristic of September light. This assignment involves shooting in the early morning or the evening light to record the elongated shadows and the golden light. Subjects can be very dramatically lit under these conditions and shadows themselves can become a interesting subject.
